MAXfocus Welcomes Security Lead Ian Trump

DURHAM, N.C. – October 01, 2014 – LogicNow today announced that MAXfocus has welcomed seasoned security lead, Ian Trump to its team as its security consultant and subject matter expert.

Trump holds an ITIL v3 Foundation certification and has 20 years of experience in information technology and IT security. The highly experienced security leader comes to MAXfocus from Octopi Managed Services Inc., where he served as Chief Technology Officer. His combined experience in law enforcement, non-profit and private industry provides a well-rounded view of IT security, and perspective into a variety of industry-specific challenges.

Trump serves as a board member of the Canadian Cyber Defense Challenge and IC2, and as an editorial review board member for the EDP Audit, Control, and Security newsletter. He also previously managed all IT projects for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, a project largely focused on security.

From 1989 to 1992, Trump served with the Canadian Forces (CF), Military Intelligence Branch. In 2002, he joined the CF Military Police Reserves and retired as a Public Affairs Officer in 2013. He has served with the Canadian Forces Military Police and spent a year with the RCMP Criminal Intelligence Analysis Unit.
