IT channel publications honor premier leaders and channel advocates in inaugural list
DURHAM, North Carolina – July 31, 2019 – SolarWinds (NYSE:SWI), a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software, today announced that its vice president of Customer Experience and Business Strategy Mike Cullen has been named to the Top Gun 51 list by Channel Partners and Channel Futures magazines. The inaugural list recognizes the premier leaders in the indirect IT and telecom channel.
To select the Top Gun 51 honorees, the publications’ editors invited those who know channel executives best—distributors, master agents, and industry analysts—to nominate leaders who exemplify channel advocacy and leadership.
“Mike defined what it takes to successfully sell managed services in the early 2000s and continues to build upon his legacy as an integral part of the SolarWinds MSP leadership team,” said John Pagliuca, executive vice president, SolarWinds MSP. “A natural-born leader, visionary, and teacher, Mike is revered within the global channel community for his commitment to sales excellence, the customer experience and their profitable business growth. We congratulate him on this well-deserved honor and thank Channel Futures and Channel Partners for recognizing Mike and his fellow Top Gun 51 leaders.”
A managed services pioneer, Cullen has inspired and advised many of the world’s most successful MSPs. In the past year, he spearheaded the popular SolarWinds MSP Institute, and as an advocate for peer-to-peer learning and partnership also inspired the company’s MSP Advice Project.
“Today’s channel leaders must be futurists, accountants, technologists, marketers, and evangelists,” says Lorna Garey, editor in chief of Channel Partners and Channel Futures. “We wanted to recognize these executives based on insights from within the community itself. I want to thank all of the master agents, distributors, and analysts who helped us assemble a list that includes well-known names along with rising stars across a diverse range of companies.”
Channel Partners and Channel Futures will recognize the #TopGun51 at a gala banquet during Channel Partners Evolution, held September 9–12 in Washington, D.C.
Cullen’s profile as part of the complete 2019 Top Gun 51 list is now available on the Channel Partners website.
