Kelly O’Bray, Nadia Karatsoreos and Jessica Schroder to oversee development of partner and vendor community.

GFI MAX™ today announced the expansion of its community team, tasked with supporting GFI MAX’s channel community of more than 10,000 managed services providers (MSP), the largest community of MSPs across the globe. The growth of the company’s dedicated community team comes in direct response to customer feedback that community is an integral part of the industry and shapes how companies choose to work with technology vendors.

As community managers, Kelly O’Bray and Nadia Karatsoreos will focus on building programs that allow GFI MAX MSPs to connect in order to learn from each other’s experience and share best practices. They will also develop educational materials on a broad range of topics of interest to industry professionals as well as on the best ways to maximize the value drawn from MAX solutions. O’Bray and Karatsoreos will also help to increase engagement with MSP partners and improve responsiveness on social media.

O’Bray joins the team with nearly eight years of experience in managed services sales and partner development, having worked for HoundDog Technology since 2007 and remaining with the company when it was acquired by GFI Software in 2009. He is also an industry representative of the CompTIA MSP Partners Community Executive Council. Karatsoreos also brings more than eight years of community and channel experience, having served as partner development manager at both Level Platforms and JetStream. She was also named to CRN’s 2014 Women of the Channel and has received a certification from CompTIA in channel management.

Jessica Schroder joins the team as a vendor alliance manager, in charge of channel relationships with other vendors, both within the GFI MAX community and at MAX 2014 customer events. Schroder will also be tasked with developing deeper relationships with vendors in order to foster better technical integrations within GFI MAX’s product set, greatly improving the solutions available to MAX MSPs. Previously a director of marketing and events with The ASCII Group, Schroder is a well known and well respected member of the channel community.

The expanded team will operate under the leadership of GFI MAX’s Director of Partner Community, Dave Sobel, who was appointed in December 2013 to help foster collaboration and communication that drives MAX partners and the overall managed services industry forward. Named as a Microsoft MVP for five years in a row and recognized as an MSPmentor 250 member for multiple years, Sobel is a well respected industry veteran and a leading expert on cloud computing, mobility and virtualization, acting as chair emeritus for the CompTIA Mobility Community.

“Strong communication with partners has always been a cornerstone of our success as a business and implementing a formal program to help improve their lines of contact with us and one another is just the next step in our commitment to ensuring that MSPs are engaged and able to maximize the value they get from their use of our services,” said Dr. Alistair Forbes, general manager of the GFI MAX business unit. “Events like our upcoming customer conferences provide a great starting point, but our new community team will ensure that customers’ voices are heard all year long.”
